Joe Lawrence

Joseph ("Joe") Lawrence is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Chief Engineer with over 23 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, including HVAC, advanced hydraulics, and modern diesel engine electronic controls.

As an early adopter of fiber laser technology, Joe transitioned from CNC plasma to laser systems and quickly developed deep expertise with the M3 Ultra platform. He is known within the community for his ability to diagnose and resolve complex machine issues, helping users minimize downtime and get back to production.

Throughout his Coast Guard career, Joe served in assignments around the world, frequently as Chief Engineer in both afloat and ashore commands. He led teams responsible for high-priority repairs in demanding environments, ensuring operational readiness under pressure. That same practical, mission-focused approach carries into his teaching style today.

At Creekside Laser, Joe brings a passion for teaching and mentoring as he leads instruction in both software and CNC fiber laser operation. His training emphasizes real-world troubleshooting, clear understanding of system behavior, and giving students the confidence to operate and maintain their machines effectively.
